How to Join Us

In order to provide a well run sport for our High School athletes to participate in, we need to have a group of individuals who are willing to become involved.  The three skills we are looking for are scorers, deck officials and diving judges.

If you have skills in one of these areas we need you.

If you would like to learn to be a scorer, we would love to have you.  If you have experience with Hy-Tek Swim Meet software, that would be a bonus but not necessary.  We will be happy to train you.  Please contact the NNOA Meet Director at nnoameetdirector@att.net.

To become a swim official in High School Swimming you must have at least three years experience with U.S.A. Swimming as Carded Official or experience as a swimmer who has competed at the High School or College level.  Email the Commissioner of High School Swimming Officials at nnoasdcomm@att.net for more information.

If you would like to become High School Diving Judge you must also have experience has a Diving Judge or be a previous diver.  You will need to be interviewed by the Diving Referee. To set up an interview please E-mail the Diving Referee at cgmac21@yahoo.com

If you decide you would like to become involved you will need to join Northern Nevada Officials Association- Swim Chapter, which works with the Nevada Interscholastic Activities Association. You will need to pay annual dues, approximately $50.00 that will cover insurance costs and dues. Officials are paid for their services and also may receive mileage compensation.

We are always looking for good people to help with swimming and diving meets.
